Bonsai is learned by doing, so every class is hands-on. Bring your own tree for styling help or buy one from our stock — and out at the nursery, we’ll teach you on our trees for free.

Saturday styling workshops

$25

Bring a tree you’ve been meaning to work on, or pick one from our stock, and we’ll style it together. Morning and afternoon sessions, about 2½ hours each.

Bonsai Basics

$185

Seven Saturday mornings, 9:30 to noon. We run it in summer (Jun 6 – Jul 25) and again in fall (Sep 12 – Oct 24).

Free lessons at the nursery

Some weekends we’re out in Paw Paw teaching on trees growing in the ground. Over the summer you can keep developing a tree there with us and harvest it in early spring.

Spring harvest

Weekends every March and April at the nursery. Choose a pre-bonsai from the field, dig it up, and take it home.
